Collection: Biodegradable Bags

These bags contain an additive that allow them to degrade by breaking down their chemical structure. Oxidation through heat or ultraviolet light leads to this degradation, rather than solely relying on the bacteria and fungi that also contribute to degredation mechanisms. We tested degradation rates using standard protocols in a lab setting.  The actual degradation rates you see will vary due to the conditions surrounding the bags. We cannot guarantee or specify a timeframe for complete degradation of this bag, nor can we provide an accurate window of time for them to withstand the temperatures and pressures of a sterilizer.Because of this, we recommend using them as soon as they arrive.
